Sweetpea Ceramics began as something small

— a creative outlet and a way for me to slow down.

I started working with clay simply because I loved how it made me feel. There was something about using my hands, switching off from everything else and making something from nothing that gave me a sense of calm.

Over time, that quiet hobby grew. I began experimenting with different forms, earthy glazes and the little imperfections that come with hand-building. I found myself drawn to pieces that felt organic and useful — things made to be held, used and enjoyed rather than perfectly replicated.

Eventually, those pieces became Sweetpea Ceramics.

Everything is hand-built by me on the Mornington Peninsula, so no two pieces will ever be quite the same. You’ll find uneven edges, gentle curves, glaze variations and little traces of the making process — all the things I’ve come to love most about handmade ceramics.

Sweetpea is still growing alongside me. I’m learning, experimenting and making slowly, without trying to make everything perfect.

Just thoughtful little pieces, made by hand, that I hope find their way into everyday moments and homes.
